The Missa Venatorum by Giuseppe Antonio Bernabei was discovered in 2021 by the musicologist Prof. Dr. Christian Thomas Leitmeir, who did also the first edition. So this album includes the world first recording of this wonderful missa. Together with the famous Cantata BVW 147 by Johann Sebastian Bach, this album contains a fascinating contrast between two coeval composers, that seem indeed very far from each other in a confessional way, but very close in an artistical way, regarding a vision of an emphatic church music.
